Community Service Projects

Community Service

EM NARI members are dedicated to improving local communities. Through annual volunteer projects, our members focus on helping worthy individuals, families, and organizations complete their remodeling and community improvement projects, whether small or large.

Past projects have included:

September 2014, Billerica, MA.  EM NARI members, led by the crew at New England Design and Construction worked to completely remodel a room for a child who suffers from a chronic medical condition through the Room to Dream Foundation. Many NARI members were able to contribute time, money, materials, and services to the project. In the end, they designed and built a peaceful and tranquil healing environment for a young boy out of what had been a living room. This will enable him to have a space on the first floor of the family home, which will facilitate his healing and growth.  Click her to: READ MORE AND SEE THE RESULTS!

June 2014, Lawrence, MA. Through Habitat for Humanity of Merrimack Valley's Builders Blitz, volunteers including 15 EM NARI member businesses, built two homes in Lawrence. Hundreds of volunteers, including dozens of EM NARI members, worked to put up walls, raise the roof, frame the rooms, install plumbing and electrical, paint, landscape and complete all the details associated with building two, 3-bedroom homes in one week for deserving families.

November 2013, Boston, MA. Led by EM NARI member Rick Slavinsky of Curb Appeal Landscaping in Norton, EM NARI members volunteered their time planting bulbs at Trinity Church and at Kenmore Square in Boston this past weekend. Members also raised $1,000 in support of the project. In leading the project Slavinsky shared that, "we were all touched by the events of last April. Supporting the Marathon Daffodils is just one way for our organization to come together to show our support of Boston Strong and Boston Marathon races for years to come."

May 2011, Billerica, MA. In two short days, EM NARI members, coordinated by Cory DesJardins of New England Design & Construction, worked with the Room to Dream Foundation to transform the room of a two-year-old boy with a chronic illness into a whimsical, delightful space – one that more efficiently meets his medical needs while at the same time giving his sister her own unique area.
